Common Questions

Clear, plain answers about how Rainvault programmes work.

What exactly is an emergency fund, and why does it matter?
An emergency fund — or personal reserve — is a set amount of money kept aside for unexpected situations like job disruption, urgent home repairs, or medical costs not covered by insurance. Having even a modest reserve can reduce the stress of unexpected events. Our programmes help you understand what size reserve might suit your situation and how to build toward it steadily.
Is Rainvault providing financial advice?
No. All Rainvault content is educational in nature — we share frameworks, concepts, and practical tools for thinking about personal reserves. We do not provide regulated financial advice, and nothing in our programmes should be taken as a personal recommendation about your finances. If you need regulated advice, we encourage you to consult a licensed financial planner.
How long do the programmes take?
The self-paced course takes around two weeks at a comfortable reading pace. The Steady Reserve Workshop runs across 4 weekly sessions. The Complete Emergency Fund Program spans 9 weeks, combining modules, live sessions, and check-ins. All programmes are designed to fit around work and family commitments.
What are the fees, and what payment methods are accepted?
The Rainy-Day Reserve Course is priced at RM 483. The Steady Reserve Workshop is RM 1,470. The Complete Emergency Fund Program is RM 2,860. Fees are in Malaysian Ringgit. We accept standard bank transfer and common online payment methods. Please contact us to confirm accepted methods and arrange enrolment.
Are the workshop sessions held online or in person in Kuala Lumpur?
Session formats vary. Some cohorts are held at our Kuala Lumpur premises on Jalan Cheras, while others are offered online to accommodate participants across Malaysia. When you enquire, we'll let you know what format is available for the upcoming intake.
What is your privacy policy regarding personal information?
We take your privacy seriously. Information you share when registering or enquiring is held confidentially and used only for programme administration and communication. We do not sell or pass on personal data to third parties. Full details are available in our Privacy Policy.
What if I have no prior knowledge of personal finance?
Our programmes are designed for everyday people, not financial professionals. We use plain language throughout, avoid jargon, and build concepts from the ground up. The self-paced course is a particularly gentle starting point if you are new to thinking about personal reserves.
