Rainvault came about from a straightforward observation: many people understand, in principle, that setting money aside for unexpected times is sensible — but find the actual process confusing, inconsistent, or hard to maintain on their own.
Founded in Kuala Lumpur, we began as a small team of educators and facilitators who had spent years working in financial literacy circles. We noticed that most available resources were either too technical, too generic, or too focused on investment outcomes. What was missing was a calm, structured space for people to learn — at their own pace — how to build and maintain a personal reserve for uncertain days.
The name Rainvault reflects that idea: a shelter you prepare before the rain arrives. Our workshops and courses are built around the same metaphor — steady, practical, and accessible, without pressure or complexity.

We exist to help everyday Malaysians understand how to build a personal financial reserve through clear, calm, and respectful education. Our programmes are not about wealth accumulation or market speculation — they are about the quiet, consistent habit of setting something aside.
We believe that understanding your own financial position, setting a realistic reserve target, and working toward it in small steps is a skill that can be learned — and one that makes a meaningful difference when life becomes unpredictable.

Reserve-Building Education for Everyday Malaysians
There are many reasons people find it difficult to maintain a personal financial reserve. Life in Kuala Lumpur and across Malaysia involves real cost pressures — from housing to transport to supporting extended family. Building a reserve on top of ordinary expenses often feels like an afterthought, or something to do later when the timing is better.
At Rainvault, we work from the understanding that the timing rarely feels ideal. Our approach is not to wait for the right moment, but to make starting small feel genuinely manageable. Our self-paced course, group workshop, and comprehensive programme each begin from wherever the participant is — not from an assumed baseline of financial comfort.
We draw on frameworks from adult education, behavioural research, and community facilitation to make the process of building a reserve feel less like a chore and more like a series of quiet, achievable decisions. Our tools — goal planners, plain-language checklists, and structured reflection exercises — are designed to be used, not just read once and filed away.
Rainvault operates from Jalan Cheras in Kuala Lumpur, and our online cohorts are open to participants throughout Malaysia. We work with people who are just starting to think about their finances, as well as those who have tried to build a reserve before and found it hard to sustain. Our job is to make the learning experience feel calm, practical, and worth the time.
